My most treasured creative contribution to this world is my children. To study the raw materials of their souls and guide and encourage them to become all they are created by God to be, that is the deepest desire of my heart. I send them like arrows out into the world, to be the light.

Amidst every day tasks stacking up towards this lofty goal, I recently discovered photo editing phone apps like Pixlrmatic which allow me to create “art” during mundane moments:  while waiting for a tennis match to begin, a football game time-out to run its course, a child to find just the right shirt at the clothing store.

What I love most about this little on-the-run creative outlet is that it helps me cultivate wonder in the ordinary world around me. It expresses the gratitude I feel, living here, in this present moment, loving these precious people.
