“I choose you,” Danielle of Sincerely Danielle Shunk in Colorado Springs.
FOUR CHAIRS SERIES: After much curiosity as to which painting Danielle would choose, the muse for the series selected Chair #2.

Remaining three chairs after the selection process.
PRINTS & ORIGINALS AVAILABLE: Limited edition giclee prints of all four chairs as well as two of the original paintings are now available in my Etsy shop: Fragments of Light.
SHINE LIKE STARS: Without a doubt, the Shine Like Stars exhibit is the highlight of my creative journey thus far. I felt deeply honored to be mentioned in this article, below, written by Flourish Associate Director, Tonia Nifong, for the Colorado Springs Gazette newspaper.
Tonia writes, “Gallery events like the Shine Like Stars installation, recently hosted by Flourish in downtown Colorado Springs, are known for infusing messages of hope and renewal into difficult life realities. Flourish partnered with orphan care nonprofit Hope’s Promise to display art created by Kenyan orphans, as well as original works by Colleen Briggs. The gallery conveyed stories of courage and hope, while providing a glimpse into the dreams of orphaned children in Kenya.”

WHAT’S NEXT? Someone asked me this question recently at the Shine Like Stars installation at Castle Oaks Covenant Church in Castle Rock, where it currently hangs. I replied that I really don’t know, but there is no way I could have dreamed up Shine Like Stars: something that would be such a joyful blend of my passions for art, faith, and social justice, something that would make me so happy! The Lord just keeps saying, “paint today.” I trust Him.
