“Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
Psalm 30:5b
As I reflect on 2015, I give great thanks for all of you who gift joy to me with your presence on the journey.
From dear, life-long friends and family members who continually walk beside me, to people I’ve never met who faithfully comment on my posts and spark motivation to keep going. All of you, loved ones and acquaintances, all of you who point me to the Source of All Creativity, who direct my gaze to the One Who carries us through every dark night and Who dances with us when morning comes.
This journey is good, and you, my companions are a tender gift. I wish you the awareness of God’s Presence through every midnight passage, and all the joy and wonder your heart can hold as mornings surely dawn in the coming year.

It seems to me that those who are simply willing to stay at our side in the dark hours are also those who offer the greatest reason to continue walking.
Intriguing painting!

I absolutely agree Gene! It is the people who tenderly sit in the ashes with me, just waiting for God with me, who are the ones I most want to celebrate with when the trial ends – and sometimes their presence is even enough to relieve some of the trial by reminding me that God will never leave me.
